Sturgeon Fishing

Sturgeon fishing typically takes place in March in the Sacramento River Delta around Colusa, Knight’s Landing, and Verona.

These prehistoric monsters of the deep are just amazing. Typically ranging from 4 to 7 feet long, they are strong fighters and great table fare. Heated boats offer a comfortable fishing platform while waiting for a bite from one of these big armored fish.

Overnight trips are available, and include barbecue dinners and breakfast.

Cost: All guided fishing trips are full day trips and cost $275 per person (overnight trips may be more). This includes all rods, tackle, safety equipment, fish cleaning and a knowledgeable professional fishing guide.
